5There is a perfect price/quality ratio.Mar 01, 2010

The product works just fine. I use it for a guitar studio amplifier, and the consuption is not high enough to overheat it. It does not cause any additional noise. I suspect that if you overuse it (more thanb 50 watts) it will overheat. This is just what I expected for the price I paid. However, for a high fidelity sound system, it may probably inject some noise...I do not see a lot of insulation. Good deal for the price!

1DANGEROUS! ???Sep 16, 2011

These looked very cheap, but seemed to work. However, I woke this morning to discover a burning smell and one of them almost split into two pieces and very hot. It looks like these are a fire risk to me and I would severely caution against buying or using them.

1The thing burned after the second useAug 08, 2011

It is supposed to be use for maximum 50W equipments. I plugged a 25W hair iron and the thing melted. This will work perfectly with small electronics like a hair cutter, shaver, etc

1Not good enough for regular useJan 30, 2011

This product is supposed to provide up to 50W of power. I tried using it with a 35W lamp, but it starts to smell and get very hot after 10 minutes. Also with a 20W halogen lamp, it smelled like a fire hazard. This really is only good for very low wattage appliances, and probably no lamps. The vendor does not allow you to return it if you don't like it, only if it is dead on arrival.
